"On site" adjustments to optimize system coverage, clarity, and intelligibility through use of graphic equalization and sound pressure level matching
Ronald L. Meyer brings 26 years of experience in electrical and systems engineering to the consulting practice. He studied electrical engineering at Purdue University earning both BSEE and MSEE degrees with emphasis on communications theory and control systems under Professors George Cooper, Claire McGillem, and Larry Ogborn. His background includes systems engineering positions in both governmental and commercial applications of spread spectrum GPS technology with emphasis in signal search, acquisition, tracking and SNR algorithms; Kalman filtering, beam steering antennas and missile guidance systems. He lead the systems engineering team for the GPS subsystem on a cruise missile project while a Senior Member of the Technical Staff at Texas Instruments. As lead systems engineer for the wireless communications business unit of Raytheon's Crosspan subsidiary he worked adaptive beam steering algorithms for cell phone base station antenna systems, including RF propagation and coverage studies. He was a voting member of the IEEE 802.16 standards body during the formative meetings of the standard. Mr. Meyer has been awarded 3 patents (for both TI and Raytheon) and has 3 patents pending (1 for Raytheon).
